Can cockroach’s do this!?

every time I go see my Madagascan hissing cockroach he makes a chirping sound much like a cricket is this normal?!

Nope, they cant chirp. But they do loud hiss, hence their name

I know they hiss but lately it’s been chirping I have no idea how. Maybe it was short bursts of hisses
