My girlfriend and I just picked up a new Leopard Gecko female, any idea as to what kind of color morphs are in it?

I say tangerine, as i'm pretty sure hypo means it lacks black pigment. But David could be right as it looks to be young and sometimes the black will fade out but only time will tell. Good luck with it

Hypomelanism is the reduced presence of melanin....the complete lack of melanin is Amelanism.

Actually, the one in the picture above looks to be a SHTCTB (Super Hypo Tangerine Carrot-Tail Baldy)....no, I'm not kidding, thats a real Leo morph lol.

What makes you think its a Super Hypo Tangerine? I mean what characteristics?

The increased orange color and the reduced presence of melanin...it might just be a Hypo Tangerine, but the SHT was my first guess. You'll have a better idea of what it is once it loses its baby/juvenile colors.

Tangerine. Not enough lack of pigment to be a hypo (though some will call it that)...and not enough carrot to be a carrottail :)
Beautiful Tangerine though!!

I agree with that...it might just turn out to be a Super Hypo...or a Hypo...but right now it's just a Tangerine. Then again...it can also GAIN pigment and lose the tangerine....and whatnot...so dont expect anything until it's fully grown...they can suprise ya!

Compare the gecko posted by GootySapphire to a normal Leopard Gecko of the same size/age....you'll see a definite reduction of melanin in Gooty's specimen. Personally, I think it is at least a Hypo Tangerine...but thats just my opinion from having raised close to 100 or so Leopard Geckos. I could be wrong. :)
