need a good camera suggestion, would have done this in OT but im not able to post in that section... :8o
currently im using a fujifilm FinePix1400Z 1.3 mega pixels and 3x zoom. its okay but not for spider pictures. id like something with great quality and where i can zoom in VERY close for some good shots. any suggestions? doesnt need to be top of the line, could be a wal mart special for 35$ just as long as i can have better zoom and better quality pics. thanks!

The canon rebel is my choice, but that depends on how much you are willing to spend.

I love my HP Photosmart camera-easy to use, and takes some pretty decent Macro shots. I would like to be able to get even closer Macros, though, or at least higher-res ones. My camera is 3.2 megapixels, but they have one out now that is 6.2, and I'd really like to upgrade if I can ever afford to.
I have several shots of my T's and some wild spiders, as well as snakes and dogs, and some digital fanart, in my gallery here, if anyone would like to check 'em out:

I don't post them here because I have to reduce the size so much, it's pointless. I don't know how others manage to post such large pics; if anyone can tell me how, I'm open to suggestions.

I have the Nikon coolpix 5700 and I LOVE IT! The only downfall is if you are trying to take pictures in low lighting, which is a problem for alot of digital cameras. I use a tripod for low light pictures if I don't want to use the flash, I hate flash photos. This camera takes very excellent pictures, very good colors, 10x optical zoom, 4x digital zoom, takes movies. You can find them pretty resonable on ebay which is where I got mine. If I was made of money I would buy the Nikon Mark D10. Good camera. I always use pricegrabber.com, it gives user reviews so you can see good and bad points from actual users on the camera you are looking at. Good luck!

@ solaceofwinter:

I've tested those Minolta DiMage cameras and was not happy. Hard to take a good pic with those. You should spend at least ~400$ if you want to have a quite good cam.
