Hello all!
Sadly I lost some bugs yesterday but I worked my spirit back up by going on a night hunt for something interesting and oh boy! I found this awesome little camel spider which somehow didn’t escape from me like the BIGGER one a couple weeks ago. Now I have one simple question. Is care and husbandry different for you flings than it is for adults? If not I will jsut research what is already out there but I can’t seem to find any info on caring for babies.
Also can anyone tell me how old they might think he is? He’s about 1.5 cm long from furthest tips

Solifugae typically don’t do well in captivity. Best to let it go. Good luck.

I think I might have heard that before. Surprising with so many care videos out there. I’m going to hold onto this guy for a little while longer though before I let him go. They are so fascinating, I can’t believe I’ve never heard of them till about half a year ago!

Are you sure it's young and not just a smaller species? I'm pretty sure there's a wide range of adult sizes for solifugae.

I’ve seen bigger ones around here, a black widow actually got the biggest one I’ve seen :( but that’s nature.
Can you share some photos ?
Whoops! Thanks for the reminder.

Eremobates sp. Hope I spelled that right. Their seasonaltiy is simply too difficult to replicate in captivity sadly. Try to find some much larger species as there are a few in AZ. That one looks to be almost full grown, your best bet is to let it go.

I will definitely let it go next time I go out (probably tonight or tomorrow night). It was a blast to watch him for the time I had him!
