Same thing happened to me, mine bolted out of the tank because a cricket wandered into its burrow, LOL. :) Afraid of his food, nice going!

That's funny

I had a situation like that a while back. I had a 1/2" S. calceatum escape once. What a nightmare it was to catch her. That lil' bastard ran like a fat man after the ice cream truck. It took about 5 minutes to trap her. She hid in a crevice between the carpet and base trim. It was so hard to get her out without harming her.

S. calceatum is definitely the fastest bugger. H. maculata is also a fast one - both have escaped on me. My C. fasciatum has never been skiddish though. She's extremely docile.
