I have my first successful C versicolor sac and most have reached 2nd instar that past few days. They started climbing out of the cup in the incubator So I put a lid on it. The humidity in the incubator is at a constant 100% with no airflow. I use a 10 gallon aquarium with a piece of plexiglass covering the opening to maintain temperature and humidity levels appropriate for the developing spiderlings. (I included pictures) I know C versicolors do not do well without appropriate air flow, especially in humid conditions.

My question is - When should I remove them from the incubator being that the just reached 2nd instar based on my setup with humidity levels and air flow?

I’ve never bred- is no airflow recommended? Other things I’ve hatched out needed airflow, so this is interesting.

I always drill a few air holes in my incubators and still keep the humidity high. I find it essential actually, even though people may do it differently.

I see some fresh ones in there, I'd wait another week or so before separating.

So that is what I am wondering. With the incubator being homemade from an aquarium and a piece of plexiglass to close off the open end could this be an issue. All of my other egg sacs do fine but versicolor typically need good ventilation so that is my concern. 🤔🤔🤔

Congratulations on a Beautiful Bunch O' Babies.
Best Wishes to You and Yours,
Thank you! 😊

They should be separated now....they don't have the requirements you believe
Thanks for the reply. I will separate them. For now I took them out of the incubator and put a vented lid on the container. My tarantula room is usually around 77 degrees so being that they are 2i that should be good until I separate them tomorrow.
