Hey everybody,

Just thought I'd share some pictures of the behavior of my C. fasciatum. You can see where she has dug up a bunch of bedding and has placed it in front of her flower pot to hide or chill or whatever it is that she's doing. From what I've read and heard this is normal behavior for this tarantula.

possibly - but I didn't see any previous signs of a premolt....and it has also done this a few times before.

The is the norm for this sp. Mine has a circular driveway for a burrow. One to go down and across from that one a hole to come up. It turns around underground and chooses to come up whichever way it wants. Mine "jets" in the ground as soon as you move the enclosure........here's mine:

The burrowing is normal. Dont worry.

Awesome!

The only difference with mine is that she has completely sealed off all contact with the outside world(that I've noticed). She's been like that for almost a week or so. It could possibly be in pre-molt or just doing it's thing.

My C.cyaneopubescens does the exact same thing, thats i why i think that they are exactly alike in behavior and astonishing colors! Great pics of the setup, i really think that they are excellent web spinners and can burrow just like my Usambara and GBB! \
