I changed the substrate today, and all my pedes are completely fine, so I'm happy about that as I hadn't seen the rainbow or the BB for ages. Anyway, I FINALLY got a picture of the elusive little thing (who is actually really energetic and fast). For some strange reason, it looks gold/green when I take a picture with flash on, even though it is pink/grey. Even stranger, in the second picture it looks like an O. Ornatus for reasons unknown.

Wow - that first photo looks like a Spirostreptus sp. 1. When I take photos of my Acladocricus, they always look green or tan when they are bright blue. The second photo looks like a coral snake with red/ black/ yellow bands! Glad you finally got photos even though they are altered. :bag:

I always though Burmese beauty and S. sp. 1 were the same. o_O
I know that common names don't mean anything, but the S sp 1 is from Tanzania. I've never heard it referred to Burmese Beauty, but then I have never seen a Burmese Beauty either. So it could be the same? Would be good to know - I would hate to buy a Burmese Beauty thinking it was a different species than I already have. o_O

The plot thickens...
A video from Germany of S.sp. 1 shows a soild orange millipede with white legs. Searching S.sp.1 on Google brings up an orange and green banded millipede similar to the results for Burmese Beauty. It may be that the two look very similar due to orange coloring and that they are commonly confused.
