We were driving back last night from the western part of the county. We have to pass a section of highway that borders a group of Beaver ponds. Well, the bugs were hatching by the hundreds of thousands. At 55mph, I was constantly pumping out windshield fluid and running the wipers. By the time we cleared the hatch, about 3/4th of a mile. My headlights were so dim and the windshield was so caked we had to pull over to scrape them off with a ice scraper. They had piled up to nearly a 1/2 inch everywhere on the front of the PU. About the time we were finished, two bikes came zipping by heading towards the hatch at a very fast rate of speed. They would have had to ride through them as there are no side roads..
