I just ordered some Asian Forest Scorpions and there is this brown dirt like stuff on their tails. Should I be worried?

It does appear to be coming off when I spray some water on it. I was going to use a damp Q Tip but I don't wanna get that close. They seem to have a short temper compared to the P.Imperator

I'm not sure, my desert species some times get a dirty tail when they poop, because it rubs all in teh sand. but this is different to me. if its coming off easily just keep at it!

most likely dirt and H. petersii :D
Oh yeah, I was thinking "laoticus" but I see the granulation now in pic 2, I've never had a petersii. Big ole chela on that thing. My laoticus got out last night, but I only realized it when I saw a black tail sticking out from under the fridge this morning:eek:

They were sold to me as "Heterometrus " and that is all. But I am happy with the Scorps I got in today. I don't know he exact species though.

I watered some stuff last night, got distracted and left the top of the terr. It's a combo of Alzheimer's, ADHD and being bipolar, jk but I do get distracted easy.

I think Lao is right, maybe H. petersii(?) I've kind of wanted one for a while but not real bad.
