i picked up a 3 story cage on freecycle a little over a week ago and posted that i had received it. so far so good, i got an email asking if i wanted a hamster since i had a cage now (from a totally different person). emailed back and forth a few days (does it bite, is it kid friendly, used to being handled). i was used to hamsters biting and rats being friendly
. the owner wanted the hamster to go to a home with kids to play with it. so we met up today, kids held this cute caramel colored fuzzball and they were hooked. she is friendly as can be, doesn't bite (at least not today). she came with cage, some extra bedding and a bag of food. the cost was - NOTHING, just to be in a home with kids that will pet her and play with her.
can't beat that!
that is now the 2nd pet i got for free this time WOOHOO!
the first was my T that i got last month.
