I have a small inch/inch and a half sized vinegaroon that I noticed does not have the full whip-like appendage. I think it may have simply broken off when the critter was younger. I was just curious if the tail grows back at any point and how long that might take. Thanks in advance for the responses.

Yes, the tail probably got snatched off at an earlier time. They can regenerate, only if they feel the need to. The next molt, if it molts again, will produce more of the "whip". Take care, JM

I had no idea that they could regenerate their tails! That's cool! Can they do it with any of their limbs?
