So, I've been breeding Crested Geckos For Two years now. So Let me start by saying I understand the responsibility of breeding, The time it takes and the Money. I've always wanted to breed snakes and I was just waiting until I had more room to easily house them. I Own a 5 foot Jungle Carpet Male, and He's what I plan to breed (I also plan to breed Pied Ball Pythons at some point too ;)) I Don't own a female....yet but I am looking into it. But What I need to know first is...Well Everything there is to know. I have been looking up information on breeding and I am starting to understand the heat cycles and things like that but I like to hear more directly from people who have breed pythons.
Questions like
Is a 5 foot male large enough to breed?
Can two Carpets live together until she starts laying eggs (I've gotten two views on that)
Temps Rise in the summer, Drop In October, Drop a bit more through December, Raise back up a little in January when you start to introduce male and female..Right?
Also Can I get exact Temps that have been used successfully with Jungle Carpet pythons?
Incubation? What are good Incubators? how do they work?
And anything Else I would need to know.
Thanks So Much I look forward to hearing answers

rather than a long winded reply, which probably wouldn't help as much as having a few dozen different points of view on this subject. check out moreliapythons.com. it's an online community dedicated to carpet, bredl's, scrub, and boelen's pythons. there is an enormous wealth of information over there. and yes, a 5 foot male jungle carpet python should be large enough to breed. its best to house each snake individually for many reasons...they tend to lose interest in breeding when housed together, its much easier to keep feed and defication records when there's one snake per cage. you will find all of the information and tons more at moreliapythons.com and from some of the best breeders of Morelia there are. keep us posted on what you decide after spending some time there.
