Hiya,

This is a bit of a followup to my "Daddy Likes It..." thread.

Today, the male made a new sperm web I was wondering if it would be a good idea to put him in with the same female he bred yesterday just to make sure she gets some fresh sperm? It had been about 2 weeks since he'd been seen making his previous sperm web, so I'm not entirely sure she really got fertilized. Is
she likely to be receptive of another breeding to the same male
or is she more likely to try to eat him for lunch?

You should try introducing food to the female before introducing the male again. This way you can better your chances of retrieving the male. And introducing a second time is fine. We have had breedings that the same male had been introduced two or three times. We have had some very unlucky encounters also. We introduced our T. blondi male for a second time and The female had eaten two fuzzies and an adult mouse and still ate our male. It can really be up in the air but its always worth the risk to keep captive breeding alive and well for years to come.
