Hello. So I ordered a couple Hogna lenta whites the add says they are wild caught and did not specify gender or give you options when messaging with the person selling them I asked if there was a way to tell gender other than pedipalps and mentioned that I was hoping for one of each. And he said no one breeds them. So I was just wondering why?

True spiders are not desired as much as Tarantulas. Now don't get me wrong, true spiders are desired, but people will cater towards Tarantulas as they are just more of what people want.

And he said no one breeds them. So I was just wondering why?
I don't agree with this. People have already produced them with WC gravid females and even captive breeding, it's just that they don't garner enough interest to where people document them.

Thats kinda what I thought. I am going to try breeding them if I get a pair. I think they are beautiful. And I looked at several different vendors when I was looking for one they were sold out everywhere I could find them.

If you get them and find out they are ladies, you may get lucky as some wild caught specimens are gravid.

That would be super cool. But I believe he said they were juveniles but the add said they were between 1 to 1.5 in I thought that was the max size so I guess ill see what I get.
