The breeding of most wolf spiders that I have dealt with is pretty straight forward. Make sure the female is well fed. I use a large container for mating so that if their is a fight instead of mating, their is some chance the spiders wont kill each other before I can seperate them.
I usually put the male and female in clear containers right by each other for a day or two ahead of time. Im not sure if this actually helps, but the spiders are at least aware of each other. Than I introduce the female into the mating chamber, let her sit a while to get acclimated, and later introduce the male.
Sexing should be fairly easy as well. Males can be sexed by looking at the palps, and in wolf spiders the male is usually considerably smaller than a mature female.
As for life span I believe they can live in the range of 2.5 years for females but that may be just the maximum and not the norm. Many of the females I mated ended up dying after a 3rd or 4th sac in one season, I guess just from the stress of the process or possibly just old age as well.
