I am pretty sure my female stripe knee is in pre molt as she has not taken to food for the past 4 days...and she never refuses food...my question is when they are about to molt are they much calmer ?? I went to change her water today and got no response...usually she will dart to her burrow when anything is moved about in her tank ?? she usually does not like me messing with her tank ..lol... but I wanted to make sure she had plenty of fresh water for the upcoming molt...is this normal ??

Thanks in advance

If your T is sub adult or adult it will act like this for many months before it moults. Yes they do become less active as the moult comes closer. 4 days is only a short period to go without food, keep trying to feed her if no luck remove the feed and repeat every couple of days.
By Brazilian striped knee do you mean Aphonopelma seemani the (Costa rican zebra leg) common names are so confusing:?

She is a juvinial about 3 inches and she is a A.Geniculata I was told that this type of T. will usually molt within a week or so once she is in pre molt stage...was just wondering if the sluggish behaviour was normal as this will be my first molt with her..

Thanks again Mike H.:?

Thanks for clearing that up Mike, lookout for a darkening of the baldspot on the abdoman. Once it looks black instead of the normal colour pink, she'll pop within a week or too, then lay off the feeding for at least a week:cool:

Thanks Kevo...she has NO bald spot what so ever...her colors are still nice and bright...her abdomin is huge though...she eats like a horse...I like to keep both my T.s well fed...(maybe a little to much??can you over feed a T ??) can she still be in pre molt without the bald spot ??

Thanks Mike :?

Yes mate, the swelling of the ab, fading of the colours the slowing down and loss of appetite are all signs of the moult. Could be a while yet, all the worse when your waiting for it...lol ;)

BTW No you can't overfeed, they'll only eat what they want too.:}
