They are quite different.

You can see easily the visual differences...
B. vagans is black have straight hairs and has red hairs covering the abdomen. B.albopilosum is also dark but have some long and curly (pinkish/creammy colored) hairs all over her body.

B. vagans starts to show its red abdomen very early (1.5cm)

My B albopilosum is skittish but a very interesting T. He is a real hunter when it comes to crickets. He doesn't just pounce, he stalks & "plays" with it before he finally pounces & slinks back to his hide with his catch. He's my favorite Brachypelma. My B vagans spends most of his time in his burrow, but he's still a sling (1.5").

B. albopilosum is very good at taking up dark hides instead of burrows, as long as it appears to be one. I just lean the cardboard back and drop in a cricket. They're very good eaters, which is cool to watch. The only time I've been bitten by a B. albo, is when I hand fed a juvie.:wall:

I love Brachypelma albopilosum, I currently have 2 of these. Both of them eat like pigs, even the mature male I had on loan a week ago ate like a pig! Mine are also avid diggers, they're constantly changing their tanks around, webbing and burrying their water dishes.
Nice docile t's, but obviously they can have individual differences. I haven't met an aggressive one yet though :p
The Brahcypelma vagans tends to be a lot stroppier (or at least mine was) and has more of a red rump appearence to it with an overall black appearance with a few cream hairs, also minus the curly hairs that the albop has.
