hi people im brazilian and this is my first post...
i bought slings of Bothriocyrtum californicum (trapdoor)
my doubt is:
Do anyone know if the poison is human active ????

I am not aware of any North American trapdoor species being considered "medically significant" (I'm just assuming it's from NA because of the name, correct me if I'm wrong).

Officially, this forum is for Theraphosids only, other mygalomorphs should be discussed in the "Other Arachnids" forum. :)

Read Wade's post above you. It's not a tarantula, it's a trap door spider.

I have one of these. I haven't seen it since it dug out its trapdoor. Occasionally I can open it door to see it sitting there trying to pull it closed. They aren't very fun spiders, but they are interesting. Their venom isn't medically significant, although they are very aggressive spiders when they get larger.
