Blue death feigning beetle climbing screen ceiling?

Ive just set up a 10 gallon long arid vivarium for my desert beetles and they’ve managed to climb the background on the back and made their way up the ceiling. Would they be able to find their way back to the ground? Would a fall from that height (12 inches) injure them? The background is only on one side of the tank
