So we tore the carpet up in the T room and are going to replace it with tile. While I was asleep, this idiot sprayed bleach all over the floor. Not by the Ts but pretty close near them. And now I have to move all of my 50+ Ts out in the garage for them to bleach the floor by the Ts. How long after bleaching the floor can I move the Ts back?

I super PO'd because they are telling me that its no big deal, and Im making a mountain out of a mole hill. They just dont understand how much I love my Ts and I dont want anything to happen to them.

Any help is greatly appreciated because Im freaking out over here.

Man I'd be pissed too. I'm not too sure about tarantulas in particular but I know the best way to get rid of bleach or any othe chlorinated fumes is simply with fresh air. Open the door in the the room and windows if possible so you can have air flowing through and put a fan facing out of the room either through the door or window. Should filter our in no time. Also Lysol will kill the bacteria in bleach fumes that linger. Then find your meanest T and have those idiots who did that play with it. Hah good luck

Haha

Hah sorry wrong word there. Not bacteria..... The FUMES that linger can be taken care of with fresh air and the Lysol or some sort of aerosol disinfectant.

No, I am a retard, Lysol does not have lye. It has benzalkonium chloride. Which is... needless to say, EXTREMELY TOXIC to fish, aquatic inverts, and mildly toxic to birds and has some mild reactions in some humans.

But... if its super toxic to fish, and highly toxic to aquatic inverts - I can only assume it would be very bad for other inverts.

fortunately with bleach triple rinsing removes nearly all of it and a fan will take care of any fumes. If it has been over 24 hours even that should not be necessary. As far as them being jerks about it, letting them know that replacements to the tune of $2500+ would be their liability generally would wipe the smile from their face.
