Im having troble hetching out the egg sac, I tried to leave them in the cage and mist it with water once a day, nothing, twice a day, nothing....picking them out and placing them in another container with relativly high humidity, nothing. How long does it take for the sacs to pop the babies? and am I doing anything wrong?

How I hatch B lateralis

they should take about 2 weeks or longer depending on temp/humidity. If they are dimpled badly then they have dried out and died. I keep mine in my roach room. The room is kept at 90 and 50% humidity. I take the eggs and place them in a sandwich container( rubbermaid or otherwise) with a 1" hole cut in the middle of the lid. In the middle of the sandwich container I place a petri dish with water gel in it. I see hatching over the course of 2-3 weeks,

Hope this helps
