Hi guys

We have had a black widow for about a year and a few months. Recently she has not been eating

She seemed unwell after her last meal a few weeks ago, it was a mealworm, we usually feed her crickets. Her movement seemed uncoordinated but she went back to normal although hasn't been as active

I was worried something was wrong with the mealworm but I dont know

She has been ignoring crickets, we tried fruit flies as well just to see if the movement would catch her interest. She refused a superworm today maybe going to try a small hornworm tomorrow. She is very loved so if it is old age I would love for her to at least have a good last meal and not waste away

We aren't sure exactly how old she is, she hasn't ever molted so she was already an adult when we got her. I cant remember exactly when but I can update the post

But yeah, is there anything we can do that may help her? Or anyway we can tell if she is just old?

Pictures may be useful.
Relatively Short Lifespans however.
Wish Her Well,
:)

If you've had her for over a year and she was already mature when you found her she's at least around 2 years old. Their average lifespan (for females) is around 3 years so she could be on the older end.
Prekilling food for her and offering soft stuff (like the little horn worm you mentioned) might make things a bit easier for her.

Pics would help, but the sounds of it she's just old.
