black baboon?!?

On a cricket run, I went ahead and picked up a 1" A Gent. and something labeled as a black baboon. It was only a 1/2 sling, but some of the larger oens with the same name appeared to be a tannish color and smooth. Any suggestions that I might be able to look at? Thanx

If its the one I am thinking of, its not a tarantula at all. It may look like one, but is probably Barychelidae. If you use the search function on Black Baboon, you'll probably find a thread started by me on the subject around last November. The thread has some pics of one I picked up, but later sold. The spider was very interesting, but I was uncomfortable with the potential for it being "hot".

And they wonder why we hate common names lol. You might not be able to fully identify it till it gets a little larger.
