yes, some technical difficulties on my part. i tried to change the title back but it won't let me :?

lol, the dish was way too deep so i used some clean gravel i had to make it a bit more shallow. i need to get some newer pics since housing arrangements have changed since some of these were taken.

my L. parahybana has been working on his new home. i added some more coco last night behind the corkbark (raised the elevation behind it)


and when i came home from work i found this



he drags the dirt out through the corkbark tube to the front of the tank. he's been at it for a good8-10hrs and he's still digging away! seems to be working toward the surface.

how does it not cave in then or do they put like a small amount of web in there as they go along

i think it depends on how much you pack the substrate and how wet it is when setting up the tank: the more you pack a fairly moist substrate, the more stable a burrow should be as the substrate dries.:confused:

it finally caved lol. we have been gently tapping the glass as it goes along hoping it would cave when the T was out of the hole which is exactly what happened. it was carrying out a load of cocofiber and my wife tapped the glass and down it came! oh well, i'm going to be remodeling this week anyway.
