Biggest beetle I have ever found, ID

I caught this beetle last night on the back porch of my dads house. It isnt from around my area thats for sure because I have never seen one in my life. Atleast not this big. It is about 2.5-3 inchs long.

If anyone keeps these can you please tell me what they eat and best setup for them.

That is a Cerambycid beetle or Longhorn, they are relative of the better know Wood Sawyer. Looks like a Prionus, the larvae are wood borers, not too sure as to what the adults eat, cool lookin beetle in any case

And You've got male... so try to find female for him :)
I think you should release him. Cerambycid beetles are too difficult to keep and breed. I was succesfull with only 2 - 3 small species.
