Big dragonfly sighting!!!

A rare sight I got pictures of it sleeping on a garage. IMG_7143.jpeg IMG_7142.jpeg IMG_7141.jpeg It Was pretty big 4-5”+ Not seen one in years here. Does anyone know the species??🕵️‍♀️🤷

You see those near water. in my case, when i go in the wild north, they are everywhere. Its also cyclic. So they have periods of activity. When you dont see them anymore, you see other kinds. The camo dragonflies, or the giant blues.

you need to get out more. To see the beauty.

I love dragonflies and pretty sure they eat smaller annoying flies and pest species. So they're great for doing that.
