How is it that our pitbull girlie manages to wake up our daughter at exactly 9am every WEEKDAY morning?!? She never disturbs her on the weekends; but won't go away when it's a schoolday? (We homeschool)
I've never directed Betty Rumble to go wake up the kiddo - she just takes it upon herself to go do it!
Anybody else have a "timekeeper" out there? She's just too reliable to be coincidental.....
I usually am out of bed and puttering around between 5:30 and 6am, so I can't figure out how Betty knows to wake her up at 9????:?
Betty is 4yrs and daughter is 13yrs....

Our boxer, Sadie knows when it's time for the school bus to drop the kids off. She sits at the window everyday at exactly 3:45 and waits for it to come. Since this is usually about ten minutes before it actually arrives, I can't use the reasoning that she hears it coming in the distance. The odd thing is, if the kids are off with friends on the weekends, she doesn't do this. So not only does she tell time, she knows the days of the week! :)

I think our dog friends are highly underrated... I'm positive that Betty understands WAAAY more than we ever give her credit for.
They seem to be better friends and caretakers for us - than we have ever been for them, yes?
Last night our aged (5yrs) rat "Fast Eddie" fell off of his cage and was wandering, lost in the house....
Funny thing is; when I called his name - Betty went straight to him! Apparently she'd been keeping an eye on him through the night...
Don't believe everything you read about pitbulls.
Fast Eddie is back in his home and Betty checks on him constantly - giving a consoling lick at him every now and then. Eddie just chitters,:p :p and grooms her right back!

My collie mix Savannah, has saved my rear a number of times. If I sleep through my alarm, she just about always comes in and wakes me up. I don't know how much work I would miss without her.
Here's what's really funny, the reason I can't hear the alarm is because my goofy cat runs in and knocks it off the table and lays on it. I use my cell phone as an alarm clock, and it vibrates too when the alarm is going off. All I can figure it is likes the feeling of it vibrating... Or, maybe it likes me to stay in bed so that the bed stays warmer.. I dunno..

My chocolate lab "Jake" wakes me up at 5:59am pretty much everyday to go out. The only time he doesn't wake me up is when its raining. Hmmmmm.
