OK, so instead of spending hours and hours of looking through pics on here, I'm just going to ask. I'm looking for ideas for my next tat and I definitely want something with T's. I was thinking maybe an awesome threat pose, preferably from something colorful, P. metallica, OBT, a nice Cobalt Blue...but open to anything. So post your pics of the best threat pose you have. By posting you allow me to use your pic for my own use. Hopefully I'll get some responses.

Have you ever had a sunburn? Thats all it feels like when getting a tattoo.. None of mine were painful..

*Edit* To the OP.. Sorry I dont have any threat pictures to offer you..

huntsman spiders have an awesome threat pose/ dance.
any poecilotheria especailly like a regalis, or ornata with the contrasty yellow bands on their legs! for that to work in ink on skin you would want something with contrasting colors imo. and a good artist :)

I know the feeling

Trust me when I say it's not that bad. Of course everyone's thresh hold for pain is different, but this is coming from someone who would hyperventilate and literally get panic attacks when going for blood work. I found a design that I had to have, and made the decision that if I want it bad enough, I'll go get it. And I did. And I can't wait to go back for my second one. It honestly feels like sunburn. Another way to describe it is that it feels like someone is drawing on you with a dremel tool, but it's bearable. I'm sure that sounds worse than what it really is but you'll never understand the feeling until you get one lol

You dont really feel the "needles".. (Its not just single needle..)
Seriously.. It only feels like a sunburn.. I cant even see it being as bad as a sunburn.. I fell asleep during all of my tatts.. I had a nice 5 hour nap during the one on my stomach..

But as stated each person has a diff. tolerance for pain..

Well that makes me feel better. I may have to start looking for something to get inked on me then.

I think it kind of depends, especially on where. I have one that wraps around my leg and the front of the leg didn't hurt that bad, but the back of the leg hurt pretty bad. and the one that goes over my spine hure pretty darn bad too.

J.huff23 I'm really liking that pic of the OBT you posted. I fell in love with them when I got the ones you sent me. Those cute and fuzzy little buggers are doing great, may I add.

I know what you mean about a good artist. I want it to look realistic, not cartoon-ish or cheesy. A nice tattoo is half good design and half artist.

Don't get one unless you are prepared to get more... Tatoos are just like Ts in that: its hard to just get one....

It doesn't hurt. I have 17 tattoos (although you can't tell when I'm fully dressed).

And it could be a single needle, but that would hurt more. I tried to get my back piece done in a single needle and it took several sittings (luckily my x-husband was my custom artist.. lol) because it did hurt. The only one that did.

I'd suggest P. rufilata, because it has the large, beautiful, and iridescent scopulae of arboreals, and the beautiful ventral markings typical of Poecilotheria spp., but it's femurs on legs one (and maybe two?) are blue!

Oh yes. Both are SUPER addictive!!!

I'm going for my 6th tatt this weekend--a large tree of life that I'm drawing myself. It will go on the outside of my right lower leg.

My tattoo wishlist includes a T now. :D

I just had to chime in on the tat chat. About the pain, I was 43 yrs. old when I got my first one. I waited for my son to get one to see what it was like, he was waiting for me. I gave in first. The initial tat stings a little, then like others said it's like a mild sunburn for a few days & if you keep it moist with ointment it heals faster & feels better. My son did get one after I got my second one & I paid for it. It was his 21st birthday gift. My mom thought I'd marked myself for life! She was right, but for the good in my opinion. I was told I'd regret them, 11 yrs. later I love 'em. I want more, just like wanting more Ts!
