Depending on the humidity requirements of the terrestrial, I often use a mix of peat moss/sterile potting soil, jungle mix bark mulch (non toxic), and a bit of ground coconut fibre (the expandable bricks) to help hold humidity. You could add a bit of spagnum moss to give the substrate a different texture and it may also allow the T to burrow a bit better as well. This mix works really well for holding humidity and overall burrowing as well.
