I really want a brazilian Rainbow boa. Anyone know a great dealer online. Any ideas?

Hmm.. I'm not sure if NERD www.newenglanereptile.com acutally sells rainbow boas. You want a blood python or a ball python, they're one of the absolute best.

www.topshelfexotics.com is supposed to be a great place to buy from.

I don't know if Alex Hue (I don't remember his website, google it) sells them either.

try searching through the classified ads at www.kingsnake.com Be warned though, that some of those ads are private individuals and some deal mostly with wild caught animals, and some of them are big chains.

Try checking out the board of inquiry on people at fauna (it's a reptile forum) before you buy from anybody. You'll find what you need to know.

I personally recommend Will Bird of Extraordinary Ectotherms. He is a local breeder of many species, including BRBs...I don't think he has any available right now, but I know he has a couple gravid females at this time, and his animals are definitely worth the wait! Here is a link to his website:

I purchased my female green tree python from him. She is an awesome animal and I have never had a problem with her. I recieved all of her records that dated back from when she was born and had no problems with shipping or communications.

When shopping around make sure that they can provide you with the animals records and pictures (of the specific animal in question). If you are given the run around when asking about the animals background (how old, cb/wc, health, feeding etc.) then I would move on to another dealer/breeder. Do your homework on the seller. Unfortunately there are too many scam artists in the reptile world.

The first is a 12 inch male i got, the second,one of his adult breeders.I searched a long time for a red phase BRB nobody and i mean nobody online could deliver anything but different degrees of browns.This guy came through where the others didnt,what he showed in his photos is exactly what i got.The picture doesnt begin to do justice to actual color.
