I can’t find plastic containers like I used to buy at target . I found one I wanted but oddly the lid and price weren’t present . I don’t know we’re to get cheap clear containers anymore.
Im Tired of wasting gas driving around to no avail checking stores and I can’t find clear enough containers anymore it seems. If so some are $5+ each …
What is your go to plastic container ?

It all depends what kind / size of tarantulas are going into it.

I pick ranges from small deli cups to mini care display cases, cereal containers, show display cases. Mostly from Amazon.

I want them for either juvys or adults . I have enough sling containers to get a couple Ts at a time . Just I might not order soon unless I can’t find a job .

Walmart sells 2 QT and 1 Gallon Mainstays containers for under $4 if you are looking for cheap containers. For a full sized 5-7" T, you're gonna need something bigger. I use the Sterilite shoebox containers with the gasket and lid clamps also found at Walmart, Lowes, or Home Depot.

I like the top opening clear Amac cases or the polycarbonate dram vials for slings and juvies.

When I choose something to be enclosures, first thing I check is visibility, for I always want to clearly see where the tarantulas are, and what are they doing at the moment before I open the lids. Then check the prices.

I’m considering paying more for locking lids at target but they’re not cheap enough for me to buy 10-20 of them at once right now. Say $3 each container x 10 I could afford that.
I use them for other stuff also like storing stuff or t supplies . Maybe I’ll just grab a few next time I’m out there and ask if anyone can find something clearer . They don’t carry the adult tanks I prefer anymore brand Bella .

search for gastronomy supplies, square cups, up to 5000ml

or buckets for gastronomy purposes, like storing dough etc. these you will find in even larger sizes

only problem you usually need to order as a buisness, and they dont do small orders, other than that you get the best.

i payed about 1,30€ for the equivalent of a 8"x8"x8" terrarium, anything larger is harder to come by

on the other hand i had to buy a lifetime supply at once 😅

not quite, but you get my meaning

The walmart shoeboxes work great. I use the extra deep ones. You just have to make more holes and find something to secure the lid. They are cheap, clear, and a nice size.

Got two of these essential containers, I’m not sure if any of the other ones I took pictures of were worth buying. But they look suitable for big slings. IMG_0770.jpeg IMG_0771.jpeg IMG_0773.jpeg IMG_0772.jpeg IMG_0774.jpeg IMG_0775.jpeg IMG_0776.jpeg

i have seen the one with purple latches at target in larger sizes but i usually buy sterilite brand ones since to me the latches are more sturdy and if the peg snaps off on the latch its an easy fix with a drill and an equal diameter screw
Yeah I got a few of those but they discontinued there clearer models here.
The $3 purple latches are good enough I just want something larger. And clearer. Although I’ll probably get more purple latche ones too.

These mainstays deep shoeboxes are working very well for under $6. The latches came from Tarantula Haven's etsy site, 4 for $4 +shipping.
nice.
Were so you find deep shoeboxes? Stores I’ve checked don’t sell this clear of containers here.
