Best and worst feeding response?

I thought it'd be fun to share what T's we have that are the most aggressive eaters and which are the worst since there's bound to be some surprises. My best eater is rather predictable, A.geniculata. My new I.mira sling is showing promise too. From what I hear Lps and Gbbs are meant to be good feeders but mine are the opposite, the Lp wont eat anything unless left in over night and the Gbb is nearly as bad.

The best (sort of in order):
A. geniculata
N. coloratovillosus
H. incei
H. sp. "Columbia"
C. argentinense (probably the most violent takedowns I've ever seen)
L. difficilus

The worst (no particular order):
A. avicularia (insists on being tong fed)
B. emilia (has eaten less than five times in two years)
G. rosea (... it's a rosie)
A particular B. albopilosum that, as a juvenile, will still only eat prekilled prey

Nice. I'm actually going through your play list on youtube right now. Great stuff.

I have a lot of good eaters, however what this made me think of were two particular specimens in my collection. The first is my female GBB. She was a fabulous eater (like scary eager) when I got her and then when she molted she got really weird about eating for several months before resuming her normal hunting routines. My other who I would have considered my pickiest - my AF B. auratum didn't eat for the first 8 months that I had her. Now she is eating regularly. Tarantulas do what they want, that is for sure.

Hmm... definitely think all of my P. murinus slings are the absolute best feeders. They are voracious little things and have never actually refused food from me, ever. They will take anything whenever. And act like they've never eaten, yet still have such a good figure lol Second best would be my AF E. murinus for sure and then my G. pulchra sling.

Worst eaters.. My B. boehmei's have always been freaking terrible eaters, Brachy's in general aren't that great except Vagans, that ones a good eater. And also my rosea, pretty typical.

Oligoxystre diamantinensis is a great eater. Eager to pounce on multiple food items. Very fun to watch. Once the food hits the web "he" is ready to go.

Currently he's webbed over his water cap so I need to get an eye dropper or syringe so I can get in there. Not much room to work in a 2"x4" enclosure.

@viper69 I forgot the new scientific name. I still go by OD.

G. pulchripes is my best eater. Never refused a meal and was very excited last feeding about its roaches. It went digging after the dubias that tried to hunker down under the surface of the substrate. The other good eater award goes to the juvie B. albopilosum who has never refused a meal, and has snatched several before they fully hit the substrate.

Worst eater is the A. hentzi. When not actively ignoring food, it's testing the rim of the container for an exit.

My LP (2.5") has pounced on mealworms before they even hit the ground :) it's my favorite T to feed. Other than that, my b albopilosum (3") is a great eater and can move very fast when it wants to. Also, my avic avic (4.5") is a fairly good eater with fast take-downs but my tiny a versicolor (.75") takes down crickets the size of itself and with ease, nothing beats that!

Started keeping this year, today I dropped a cricket into my Phormictopus sp green's enclosure...the spider missed the first bull rush attempt, and then proceeded to go with the moment an continue running until it was all the way up top and upside down of the critter keeper! Startled me a bit... I think this species has a good feeding response!

All of mine eat fantastically except for my smaller P. regalis, when I kept them communally, the beast hogged food, and she's kept the whole timid with food thing since separation. She hasn't eaten since February I think. Then my P. tigrinawesselli stayed in premolt for 3 months, but is now a fantastic eater. My P. rufilata eats very rarely, and eats crickets much smaller than she should.

A. Versicolor and C. Darlingi are voracious, go for anything you put in front of them.

My P. Irminia, however, is more afraid of prey than it is her. She usually goes and hides when I open the enclosure, and she's an oddball who hasn't webbed much so I can't leave it on webbing. When she actually grabs something though, she doesn't hold back. Which takes a while.

My 4 Pamphobeteus species have always had a great feeding response. Infact 2 of the smaller ones hit that hard they completely flip over on occasion but now I have 2 interlopers for the title and they are my Megaphobema mesomelas and robustum.

My worst eater by far is my Aphonopelma sp el paso juvenile she's eaten once in the 8 or so months I've had her

I have the exact same thing my regalis slings. after seperation the underdog remains timid.

There's a lot, but i put at the first place my Megaphobema robustum, she eats like an horse, B.dubia especially. Then A.geniculata, P.cambridgei, P.murinus... worst the classic culprit: G.rosea (i'm caring for a cousin sling that 99% will remain here).
