Based on my work with amphibians in zoos and with my own collection, I’ve set down some ideas on effective filtration. But the choices are expanding these days, so I’d like to have your thoughts on these and any types you favor, thanks, Frank http://bit.ly/V51OTG

It really depends on the type of frog, for example since American bullfrogs need about a 150gal tank and at least half of it water I'd go with a canister like fluval or another high brand, but for some species like say a leopard frog or a African bullfrog that requires less space I'd recommend the zoomed 501 turtle filter

Thanks for your thoughtd; I've had good luck using fluvals in lg exhibits; I tend to use ZooMed Turtle Clean canister, as the tubes/connections are wider, less likely to become blocked. Best, Frank
