Besides Arachnids and Inverts, What is Your Favorite Animal to Keep?

My favorite would be fish and then reptiles. My dog would be my first favorite above the other animals though.

Leopard Frogs(Rana Pipiens or Rana Utricularia)even though they are in North or south Dakota,Oregon , Nevada, New Mexico,Arizona, Colorado Utah and California and I haven't found one in many years. I wish that I could find one or 3. If anyone finds any outside I will pay to have them shipped to me Or if anyone knows someone that breeds them I would Apriciate it.

I agree! I've never seen anything get so excited to see me as my rat. He started off as snake food but the ball python was not hungry and the rat was way too friendly to be food so he became a pet. He's a quick learner too. He will learn anything if the reward involves cheese of any kind. I love my inverts but the rat is awesome!

Oh yeah, and aside from poodles I've always loved fish as well. Basically I like all animals though.

for me it's snakes and reptiles . i collect and breed various diffrent snakes and have 26 of them at the moment . i also have a savannah monitor .

Got a few Lake Malawi Cichlids with a trio of Cuckoo Catfish.

I did start keeping colubrids so snakes would come in as a very close third.

Most definately. I'm a big time sucker for mice - I have about 15 right now, all pets. Sweet little buggers.

I love my dogs. Once I kept a pet monkey, a Philippine macaque. It was like taking care of a 3-5 year old child.

I like 'em all. Except rodents. I hate rodents more than I can even explain. Disgusting.

For me, anything that is exotic/rare in my area. Like since retics and burmese pythons are common here, Id prefer other species...

But when it terms to overall kind, I prefer reptiles, amphibians above all else.

You all get keep a variety of neat animals! Rodents are not one one of my favorites, except for the African Fat Tail Gerbil, the Duprasi. They are cool! I had a pair for a while and they bred, only had one baby, but it died . That was a few years ago, I would like to get another one someday if I see them again.

But the most unique animal we have had would have to be my Mom's canary, it talked! It would say "Sweety is pretty bird" lol. The canary unforuantly got sick and died though .
