After reading a few posts about non native species of beetles being illegal to keep in the US, what are our options for interesting, attractive beetles that do well in captivity?
If you mean what beetles do we have in America that are nice looking and dow well.... I'd have to say almost any of our native Chrysina species (especially my favorite Chrysina gloriosa). They do well on pear and reproduce easily. Also, both of our Dynastes species do pretty well. Lastly, an underdog that I found and came to enjoy (and found to reproduce easily) are the grapevine beetle Pelidnota punctata. Just to name a few.
