Beauty and Splendor. GBB Molted!!!

Ahh the moment I have been waiting for. My gorgeous GBB has finally molted. She is now about 4 1/2+ inches in legspan and her colors are vibrant. And double checking the molt confirms female (big enough to see with my own eyes) She just took my breath away WOW!
I just had to share.

Very pretty. GBBs are like gems of the spider world. My big girl is looking pretty tatty at the moment, can't wait till she next moults

Congrats! That is one gorgeous girl!

I just picked up my first GBB last night. It is vert pre-molt, sporting a black booty right now so I should know the sex soon enough. If its a male I'm almost certain it will be mature because it is pretty good size.

I bought her when she was only 3/4" legspan. Bought her August 10th 2007. I have a record of every molt she has ever had with me(8 times now) and I bought her off a member here in this forum... (David Grimm)He had a special going at the time and I just snagged her.
I powerfed her until she hit about 3" to sex her and now that I know she is Female, I slowed and regulate her meals more at a normal rate. Occasionally I treat her with more prey. I try to give her variety. Her name is "Desire" because I wanted that species so badly.
