Hey all... I brought home a beardie from a local petstore that I knew might not make it. I also knew that it definitely wouldn't make it if I left it there

He had his last meal and passed away just a day and a half after I got him home. My g/f keeps telling me that I can't save them all, but I still have a hard time with that part.

At any rate... I have decided that I'd like to add a beardie to my mini-zoo. One that *isn't* on deaths door <sigh> I've been looking online, but it seems that much like ball pythons, most people are focusing on breeding the morphs.
They are gorgeous, don't get me wrong, but I just want a standard pet quality, not het for anything special, beardie. Any suggestions for a good source?

try the classifieds at www.kingsnake.com

People are always selling off normal males, and even females for a good price. And you can see pictures of the individual animals.

Good Luck

Try sandfire dragon ranch. It might be a little bit more expensive than what you want, but they are the biggest bearded dragon morph breeder I know of.

I think www.crestedgecko.com has some as well...not sure atm though.

I know there's a place out there with blizzard or snow beardies...those are highly priced though.

I'd scrub out that entire container and toss out all the substrate and disinfect it before you brought home something new.

Absolutely... we're pretty neurotic around here. Between dogs with parvo and snakes with RI, we've got the scrubbing and disinfecting thing down to an art :)
