I realize that a twenty gallon is too small for an ault beardie, so I will be getting him something bigger when we finish renovating our house. What is the minimum size I should keep him in? 55 gallon?

I was wondering though, what the relative temperature and humidity be in the tank. Also, besides the "salad" I try to make sure he has a constant supplie of, I was wondering how many crickets I should give him daily. Superworms only once or twice a week as a "treat"?

I have my beardie in a 55 gallon tank and I rotate his diet. One day I'll give him the green stuff (lettuces and veggies) one day I'll give him crickets (about 12) and then one day mealworms or superworms. I have a 100 watt bulb for him but I'm not too sure about humidity.

I'm pretty new with bearded dragons too, but I hope that helps some.

Although I've never kept a beardie myself I can gather this much:

A 55 would work, but I think a 60 would be best, it gives ample climbing room and more importantly it has 6" more depth.

Trying to have a continous supply of veggies is a good idea, but you may end up waisting alot of it depending on your critters taste.

As Far as humidity goes, although they are from Australia, I don't think they should be bone dry. I'd mist him a few times a week and soak him when its time to shed.

There have been several articles written about beardies in recent issues of REPTILES Magazine and Reptiles USA and could easily be found in most Petstores. Here also are some good links:
