Apologies if this is sort of a dumb question, but I am wanting to get into bdfbs and I was wondering if you could get groups of one gender so they don't breed because I know it is hard to raise them up and so I think most people have to kill the babies, so if you get a group of only females or something then you wouldnt have that problem, right? Again, sorry if the question was kind of obvious, I just dont want to assume something when it comes to this especially because I am a beginner to keeping inverts and its easy for me to get something wrong. Thanks!

I've kept bdfbs for about 2 years now, and I've never had any babies. Now they go crazy lol, they might lay eggs somewhere but they dry out. I've never found any larvae (would love if I did). Bdfbs are so hard to breed that most of them in the hobby are WC. I personally wouldn't worry about it and just mix them in. If you really only want one gender, I'd check out this thread on sexing them: https://arachnoboards.com/threads/sexing-blue-death-feigning-beetles.298328/

Either way, they are super cool and a fun addition :)
