Nice pictures. I hate how specialized every species is for what plants they'll eat, but it's totally worth it to see something like this. I raised monarchs in a similar setup from 2 wild mating pairs and ended up releasing a lot more out after they hatched.

Nice the color of the leaves really brings out the color of the butterflie's wings.

this species over-winters as larvae so the release will have to wait till next year. but the mortality rate seems fairly low with these guys and i have two females laying eggs for me which meens epic ammounts of caterpillars in about 2 weeks.

I plan on releasing them in a county park which has the perfect habitat (bogs and fields) for them and to keep some in my back yard becuase i have a few turtlehead plants growing.
