So my ball python just recently shed and I noticed white-grey flakes on the scales of its head. Could this be scale rot, or some fungal infection, or just some stuck shed?
Thats not scale rot. Scale rot typically develops on the ventral scales, as a result of the snake left in damp and dirty conditions. Affected scales have a rough, brown crinkled edge.
Its more likely abrasion or from touching the heater.
