Ball Python Rescue

I recently received this rescue ball python. I thought he was toast and was half tempted to give up on him and use him as monitor grub. My wife didn’t like that plan so I agreed to at least try to revive him. Good thing I listened. He took a f/t rat the first day and these pictures were taken just over a week ago. He’s eaten a few more rats since then and he’s gaining weight fast. He’s actually a good looking snake. A few more meals and he’ll be ready to find a new home.

He almost looks like he might have something going on with him outside of normal.

I thought that a bit too. I have an extra normal I'm going to throw him with and see what happens.

The blushing on top of his head and on a few parts of his body is what is making me lean towards it. He could just be a really nice normal though.
