As you all know I have one of these snakes.........:)
Is it normal for her to still be eating now?
Most people say their snakes are fasting already.
She is almost a year old, could that be why she is
still feeding?
I fed her 2 mice last night and she appears to still
want more, should I offer more or not?

Sorry, more than one question:D

sunnymarcie,
The majority of Ball Pythons that do fast, are usually WC. However, there are exceptions to this rule. They tend to be very sensitive to changes in their environment, which can force them off feed.
Believe me, if yours are still eating, count yourself lucky. There have been reports of Ball Pythons fasting for over a year. Last season, my Ball Python ended up in the vet's office. Mine has stopped eating. Othello stopped end of October. However, I did fatten him up, so he has some body mass to make his fast.
Peace, light & eternal love...

Mine are still feeling also.;)
They just ate nite before last.
As long as they'll eat, I'll keep feeding them.
As far as I know, they don't have to stop eatting, Some just do.:?

Thanks all:)

It's nice to know I don't have to worry.
I'll just think of her as "another rosie":D

Sunshine,
I have two Ball Pythons and my big female "Trinity" will still eat up to three mice at a time this late in the year. She still acts hungry....but "Cypher" my smaller male does not appear interested in feeding anymore. He along with Trinity has been feeding steadily since this last April, however it now seems that he is fasting. His bodyweight looks good,he is acting normally so I am not really worried. He is a bit more skittish than Trinity so who knows? as odd as it may seem for snakes to have distinct personalities I would say that my BPs do indeed differ from each other...and yes...ha ha ha....I also think of my Ball Pythons as being the Rosehairs of the snake world.....
