So I've somewhat vented my frustrations about this ball python before. I bought him as a full grown CB adult male, raised on live (which I don't do). He didn't eat for me for a very long time.

I finally got him to eat for me by nudging a thawed mouse head first to his mouth..... and he opened up and began eating it. I got super-excited so I grabbed a second mouse, and of course instead of taking the mouse all nice like, and me using my hands, he missed and got my finger instead.

He realized the error of his ways immediately and let go.

the following week he ate two adult mice for me nicely, and all was well and he seemed to finally get on a scheduled feeding for me.

Well, yesterday I went to feed him, and unfortunately the mice were cool. My husband used up the hot water while taking a long soak in the tub, and I didn't warm the mice up enough.. Once again he sniffed the thawed mouse, which I was using tongs to feed him, and he wouldn't touch it. I moved my OTHER hand across behind him to grab something and he SNAGGED me good and was down for the kill! Every single time I flexed my fingers or hand, or moved even slightly, he squeezed harder, lol! I fought the urge to take pictures, since my 2 year old decided at that point to come running in and start giggling at me while yelling "SNAKE!" and I wanted to be sure he stayed away. I had to dunk my entire arm with the snake wrapped tightly around it into a tub of water until eventually he let go.

And despite all that, I still love this stupid snake.

Sounds like a story! When I got my BP at an expo I got it out of the container, the first thing it did was tag me in my face right under my left eyeball, but luckily it did not break the skin.

Luckily my 2-3 year old female (who was also raised on live) took to frozen/thawed right away. She came to me as the biggest grump, she hadn't been handled in over a year and was very neglected and the first sign of affection came in the form of a pretty nice strike to the back of my hand. Dug them little teeth right in and torn me all up. My boyfriend got a laugh out of that. Its been a month and she's now my tv and chore buddy and has accompanied me on a trip to a car meet even.

You can use a hair dryer to help warm up thawed feeders. After a few feedings they will associate the sound of the hair dryer with dinner time
