Bad News =(

Well I was at the Zoo Today which was fun, and when I came home today my Cobalt had molted but was still on her side, I wasnt worried and I left her alone. I came back an hour later and looked at her and it looked like her fangs are missing and a few of her legs dont seem to be working very well at all. I removed the log she was under to get a better look and she cast aside the bad back leg she had which had gotten stuck in the molt because of a kinked back leg. I have put her in the closet where it is dark and she can be left alone for the next few days to hopefully recoup. Im really hoping that she will pull through and that infact her fangs are fine and I just got a bad look. I will update this when I know more.

Even if she has lost her fangs, I read somewhere that it's not the end. A guy I read about somewhere - perhaps on the ATS site, managed to nurse his fangless tarantula until the next moult by pre-opening live crickets with an exacto knife. That way the tarantula didn't have to pierce the crick, just grab it start sucking away.

Once she recoups I will do whatever I can to keep her alive! If I have to mash up crickets then thats what I will do. But im not 100% sure if the fangs are gone yet. Im going to give her time to recoup and then see what I can do. Any suggestions are very welcome.

I don't want to upset you or anything but I had an A.chalcodes that molted and had just one bum leg and sadly to say she didn't make it. She did fight though but was just too weak. I really hope yours can make it.

Well before her molt she already had one bad leg, so shes a fighter, I just hope she can fight through this one. Time will tell what her true injuries are.
