My Cobalt Blue died after her bad molt. I thought she may be ok although it did look rather glum. She died the day after the molt. This is my first loss and it really sucked.

Sorry to hear about your cobalt. If you don't mind me asking, what went wrong during her molt?

Im not sure what went wrong exactly as I was at the zoo when she molted. But I may know what could have caused some of the trouble. First off I recieved her with a bad back leg which was kinked and the other back leg had some weird growth on it. Other than that she seemed fine. When I got home she had cast off the kinked leg as it had most likely gotten stuck, but the other leg that had the growth on it still had the growth as if she hadnt even molted which I found kind of weird. Also it looked like she had fang problems, they were all covered in goo and it looked like she had none at all. Plus after the molt it looked as if a couple of her other back legs didnt work like they should which was somewhat disturbing. When I woke up the next day she was curled under and was dead. I flipped her over to look at the fangs and they were there but they looked a little messed up. Other then that im not 100% sure what went wrong, im thinking she had problems ever since i got her im just hoping that she wasnt in too much pain as that would have sucked. She was about 4 - 4.5" and im not sure if it was CB or WC. I am definately going to buy another as she was definately one of my favs but I think I am going to get a sling so I can watch all the stages of the cobalt.

peace

I'M SO SORRY!!! One of my fave species!

Do you still have the body? Just a reminder to all, R.I.E.S.M. NEEDS bodies for their research, this could help your beloved deceased Ts to contribute to our knowledge of causes of death, bacterial diseases, etc.
