So i went to my local pet store Thursday and picked up a pair of sunrise rat snakes for 100 bucks!! Not a bad price if you ask me. Both are about 2.5'-3', which the female is a tad bit bigger. Got them both in a 29 gallon zilla aquarium with water dish, undertank heater, aspen bedding and a hide. They seem to enjoy it and love hiding in the aspen. Both eat every thursday and they get 4 fuzzies a week a piece. Guy at the pet store says its hard to tell when their going to shed, but i think i might know when lol!!
I am just wondering how easy these are to breed and hows the tempermants?? Ive held the male he is friendly so far. The female is friendly too but i have not picked her up but once and she wanted to wiggle out of my hands. I do think it was because she was hungry and might of thought i was giving her food. Be aware i feed outside the cage in Tupperware containers so they do not mistake my hand for food when reaching in to do maintenance, etc. Hope to breed these when the time is right
