Babysitting T's!

My younger brother left on a week+ international trip and I offered to bring some of his Ts back to my place while he's out. He has several Ts, but we thought these would be the ones that would require attention (LOL, or maybe the ones I like the most! They would have probably been fine by themselves for a little over a week.)

Needless to say I am beyond elated to have them home with me. I have very few tarantulas and very hesitant to pull the trigger on getting more due to eventual space concerns. So this, I suppose, helps satisfy the craving of wanting more... at least for now.

I'm babysitting:
1] <0.25in G. pulchripes sling (teeny tiny!)
2] 2in G. pulchra female suspected to be in premolt. She has been super active and quite the bulldozer.
3] 3in B. emilia in premolt (she is super ashy with very faded colors!)

Keeping these cuties further confirms for me how terrestrial NW species are my absolute favorite, especially from the Brachypelma, Aphonopelma, and Grammostola genera.

I'd be very interested to see a pic of that emilia after the molt! Glad you had the opportunity to "trial run" a larger collection of Ts

Very exciting, glad you get to scratch the itch. Now you have a week to make replica‘s of each T so you can swap them out when your sibling returns. If you stuff the replicas deep in the burrows it make take him longer to figure the scheme out. 😈

That emilia probably needs a molt. You can barely make out the colours. Still beautiful, though. Ditto on Brachypelma and Grammostola genus being favourites.

That poor girl has seen better days! ;) Going to try and feed her tonight. Hoping she molts soon. I'll post pics... I may convince my brother to let me keep her.

LOL, I'll stick their molts deep in the burrow.

Update:
He let me keep the B. emilia. 😀 It took a while, but she started eating again and finally molted last week. Poor girl was so faded in her colors. At some point, I also rehoused her into a decked-out critter keeper I made for her since I didn't like the plastic shoe box she was in.

Check out the pics:

That's awesome! Beautiful B. emilia. They're such sweet and gentle spiders.
You must never have met Sizzy my b emilia she's sassy n skitzo, she used to be chilled n gentle but since her last moult she has done a 180° hit 4 inch n gone from sweet little girl to a complete nut she even had a hissy n trashed all the decor in her viv like a moody teenager 😆 still love her though with those emelia good looks how could you not 😁
