how many babies do walking sticks hatch out at one time. I noticed that I had baby sticks but I only found 3.
Anything I should know about raising them?

Hello,
Well lets start with what kind of sticks are they? That will help to narrow down about how many you could be having, and it will let us know what needs they will have.

They were labled as Vietnamese walking sticks that is all I know. The adults had thin stick like (rather then leaf like) bodies about 4-5 inches long.

Most phasmids drop or bury eggs singly, so you usually don't see a mass hatchout all at one time. Instead, you'll just find hatchlings from time to time. How many you find at a time will probably depend on how many adult females you had laying. If you only had a few, hatching will probably be real sporatic, like 3 or 4 a week. Depending on how long the adults lived, hatchlings could continue to hatch out for months.

Hatching seems to be like that for all stick bugs. I've never had any that hatched all at once.
Vietnamese sticks are really easy to care for. I keep mine in a screen cage and feed them bramble. Give your nymphs a light spray of water after a few days. Not too much though or they might get stuck in the droplets.
Good luck with them :)
